Château Montrose is a winery in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of the Bordeaux region of France. The wine produced here was classified as one of fourteen Deuxièmes Crus (Second Growths) in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855.
Domaine Vincent Girardin was founded by Vincent Girardin, who hails from the village of Santenay and comes from a family of winemakers. Passionate about wine, Vincent inherited the family's two-hectare vineyard and established the winery in 1994, sourcing grapes only from growers who shared his philosophy. The primary grape varieties are Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. In 2001, the winery moved from Santenay to Meursault. In 2012, Vincent decided to sell the winery to La Compagnie des Vins d’Autrefois, and it is now managed by Eric Germain and Marco Caschera.
