Château Montrose is a winery in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of the Bordeaux region of France. The wine produced here was classified as one of fourteen Deuxièmes Crus (Second Growths) in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855.
Château Raymond-Lafon is an estate situated in Sauternes, on the banks of the Garonne River in Bordeaux. It was founded by the eopnymous Raymond Lafon in 1850 and today boasts 16 hectares (40 acres) of vineyards within the Sauternes appellation.The property's vineyards lie in close proximity to those of Sauternes' renowned Château d'Yquem. Sémillon accounts for 80 percent of the grape varieties grown on the estate, with Sauvignon Blanc making up the remainder. The vineyards are hand-harvested over three to 10 pickings and the grapes ferment naturally for three to five weeks.
