DETAILS
Château Montrose is a winery in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of the Bordeaux region of France. The wine produced here was classified as one of fourteen Deuxièmes Crus (Second Growths) in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855.
Chateau Grand Mayne is a wine estate located in the center of Saint Emilion in Bordeaux. The vineyards are planted to a combination of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon for the creation of the estate's Saint Emilion Grand Cru classe and second label wines. The Laveau family were the proprietors of the estate from 1685 until 1893, and at its peak the estate comprised 250 hectares (620 acres) of land. It passed hands several times before being acquired by current owners the Nony family in 1934. Grand Mayne is named for the manor, or mayne, which was built on the property in the late 16th and early 17th century.
